Commercial Publisher talkSPORT

Role: Causal position five days a week with flexibility required.


The Role

talkSPORT is looking for a highly organised and creative Commercial Publisher to join our Digital this role you will take ownership of planning delivering and publishing all sponsored and branded content across talkSPORTs digital and social channels - including YouTube TikTok Instagram Facebook and X.

You will work closely with editorial and commercial colleagues to ensure every campaign is executed accurately on time and to a high standard. From co-ordinating production and briefing colleagues to publishing content out of office hours and monitoring performance youll play a key role in ensuring our commercial partners get the best possible results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end publishing of all commercial and branded content across talkSPORT channels and on occasion other News Broadcasting channels ensuring posts go live correctly and to schedule.

  • Attend commercial briefing and planning meetings to stay fully across all active and upcoming campaigns.

  • Work with production teams to ensure they deliver everything required for sponsored content creation and publishing.

  • Edit and produce social-first video content when needed optimising for platforms such as YouTube TikTok Facebook Instagram and X.

  • Create or commission graphics thumbnails and assets that meet brand and partner guidelines.

  • Write clear effective social copy captions and headlines that maximise engagement and revenue delivery.

  • Provide tracking links performance updates and post-campaign reporting to the commercial team.

  • Brief and guide colleagues working evening weekend or reactive shifts to ensure commercial publishing is covered at all times.

  • Support general channel publishing during quieter commercial periods.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You are proactive organised and driven - you keep multiple projects moving and dont miss deadlines.

  • Confident leading and briefing others ensuring everyone involved understands whats required.

  • Calm under pressure with the ability to juggle several campaigns simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms formats optimisation and analytics tools (YouTube Studio Meta TikTok X).

  • Experience producing or editing branded content (Premiere Pro Final Cut Photoshop Illustrator or Canva).

  • Ability to interpret commercial briefs and develop creative digital solutions that meet partner and editorial objectives.

  • A passion for sport - particularly football - and a clear understanding of the talkSPORT audience.

  • Flexibility to work around major sporting events and out-of-hours publishing requirements.
