Job Summary

Casual Cover Cleaner

Housekeeping Club is a well-established local cleaning company providing top-quality cleaning services across Cumbria and North Lancashire. Due to continued growth and an expanding client base we are looking to build a list of reliable hardworking cleaners to provide casual cover when required.

This role will involve covering:

Busy periods
Staff holidays
Last-minute sickness or emergency cover

There is no guarantee of regular hours however as the business continues to grow there may be the opportunity for this role to develop into a more permanent position for the right candidate.

You may be required to work across a variety of sites including:

Holiday parks and holiday lets
Schools
Offices
Other commercial premises

Please note: This is not a permanent role.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces including offices washrooms and communal areas
Sweep mop vacuum and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
Disinfect high-touch areas regularly to promote hygiene and safety
Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
Restock supplies such as toilet paper hand soap and cleaning materials as needed
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines when required.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently and efficiently within designated timeframes
Good organisational skills and reliability
Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Flexibility to work during scheduled hours with some roles requiring early mornings or late shifts depending on client needs
DBS check preferred but not essential
Driver with own vehicle preferred but not essential

Rate of Pay

Rate of pay to be discussed depending on experience and availability.
