Job Summary
Subject to formal establishment amendment a vacancy will arise for a Flight Sergeant or Sergeant (Int An or ICT Mngr/ICT Tech) to serve as ASWC Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) FS at Air & Space Warfare Centre HQ RAF Waddington on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 06 April 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).
Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell (EMSO) Spectrum Warfare Division within the Air & Space Warfare Centre are responsible for the provision of Electronic Warfare (EW) advice products and support to warfighters at all levels to achieve Cyber Electromagnetic (CyEM) domain advantage.
The successful applicant will be responsible to ASWC-EMSO SO2 with the following roles & responsibilities:
- Act as ASWC SME for the Electromagnetic Environment (EME) providing focal point for advice and analysis.
- Establish and maintain a close liaison with stakeholders across MOD and NATO partners within current and future CyEM activities.
- Understand current and future CyEM threats to Air and Space.
- Deliver timely precise and impartial CyEM advice to operators.
- Advise and support the development and assurance of CyEM Test & Evaluation.
- Support CyEM War Dev and Cap Dev understand and exploit modern technologies.
- Advise and support ASWC tactics and training delivery with specialist and contextual CyEM advice.
- Deputise in the absence of the ASWC EMSO SO3.
