As our Senior manager of our Sustainability Excellence Team you will have a broad range of responsibilities and you be our lead expert on sustainability compliance.

In this uniquely positioned role you will guide a newly formed team ensure cross-functional collaboration and ensure that our organization stays ahead of rapidly evolving sustainability and ESG regulations.

AsSenior Manager of SustainabilityExcellence in GlobalOperationsyou willsupport the GO journey to build an organizational maturity andproficiencyin improving GO Sustainability Performance.

In collaboration with your team members you will ensure that the GN Group has robust processes to assess compliance risks close regulatory gaps and implement effective sustainability projects and reporting systems. You will represent the GN Compliance Framework and shape operational practices helping the business respond effectively to new obligations.

At our global HQ located in Ballerup Denmark you will report to theSenior Director of StrategyManagement Office (SMO) and closely collaborate withthe SustainabilityManager in GOwhile collaboratingwithrelevantfunctions across Global Operations Group Sustainability andR&D.

Yourcontributionisappreciated andyouwill:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead mentor and cultivate the Sustainability Excellence Team within SMO and Global Operations promoting an engaged and cooperative team environment

  • Shape the teams mandate roles and ways of working as part of a newly established function.

  • Ensure internal alignment by ensuring transparencyregardingpriorities across sustainability SMEs in Global Operations and with Group Sustainability.

  • Act asan arealead for sustainability compliance in GO ensuring clarity of responsibilities and an effective internal governance setup.

  • Manage key internal sponsors and stakeholders ensuring transparency engagement and support for sustainability compliance initiatives.

  • Ensure communicationand changeeffortswithinGOto inform about sustainabilityobjectives strategy progress and key actions.

  • Act as an internal subject-matter expert on environmental social and product related compliance requirements and legislation.

  • Provide targeted training materials and guidance to GO teams to enhance understanding sustainability and product-related legislation

  • Coordinate external communication efforts related to GO sustainabilityobjectives strategies and actions where relevant.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Maintain diligent oversight of global ESG and sustainability legislation with a focus on EU frameworks and relevant international equivalents

  • Participate in regulatory monitoring networks and forumsto stay informed andanticipateupcoming policy developments.

  • Use specialized tools (e.g. C2P or similar) tomonitor interpret and communicate regulatory updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Translate complex legislative requirements into clear actionable guidance for operationspurchasing product management and other stakeholders.

  • Serve as an internal subject-matter expert on selected environmental social and product-related sustainability compliance.

  • Maintain oversee and continuously improve compliance processes and documentation related to sustainability reporting obligations

  • Ensure legal requirements are effectively integrated into operationalprocesses and that data structures and reporting processes align with regulatory standards.

  • Manage or support internal gap analyses and compliance risk assessmentsidentifyingrequired actions and ensuring systematic follow-up.

  • Contribute to developing andmaintaininginternal policies standard operating procedures templates and internal control mechanisms within the GN Compliance Governance Framework.

To performwellin theroleweimaginethatyou:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in law Environmental Law SustainabilityBusinessManagementor otherrelevant field of study.

  • 6yearsofexperienceworkingwithregulatorycompliance orsustainabilitylawin an internationalcontext(in-houseconsulting or publicsector).

  • Ability toanalyseand interpret legislationand translaterequirements into practical business actions.

  • Experiencewithregulatorymonitoringsystems(e.g.C2Porsimilar) and participation inindustryor policymonitoringforums.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (spokenandwritten) - where candidates with additional language fluency are encouraged to apply: Abletosummarizecomplexlegal content for non-legalaudiences.

  • Structured insightful and detail-oriented with organizational skills

  • Project managementexperience withabilitytomanagecross-functionalmulti-siteinitiatives.

  • Experienceworkingin a globalorganizationandmanagingstakeholdersand teamsacrossregions.

  • Leadership and ability to motivate teams and ensuring change across strategic stakeholders.

  • Critical thinking and data-driven mindset. withabilitytoidentifyopportunitiesforimprovement.

  • Adopts digitalization and is open to learning and applying AI-based solutions in everyday work.
