Job Description

Job Summary

Plan coordinate supervise and perform electrical operating maintenance and construction functions and duties of a lineman or maintenance serviceman. Ensure safe and efficient continuity of service to our customers. Make decisions within the limits of general procedures specifications and guidelines of company policy.

What you will do

Handle complaints.
Check and repair investigation orders.
Collections.
Maintain courteous and efficient communication with public.
Lay out allocate and direct the work of line employees working on energized and de-energized lines.
Plan coordinate direct monitor and perform construction and maintenance on lines.
Oversee use and care of vehicles equipment tools and materials.
Record and maintain accurate records and necessary follow-up procedures.
Must report to work fit for duty and free from the effects of drug and alcohol abuse.

Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by vocational-technical school power line degree
Linesman Apprenticeship Course
4 to 6 years experience in line construction operating and maintenance work

Other Requirements

Must possess a valid drivers license.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Ability to safely operate heavy equipment hand and power tools and other machinery as required
Read and comprehend maintenance manuals technical instructions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Familiar with all company policies and procedures
Basic knowledge of First Aid and CPR
Ability to read and comprehend Right To Know information
Ability to wear all safety equipment
Will be required to work irregular hours during storm emergencies and as needed
