Finance Team at THE ICONIC..
THE ICONIC Finance Team consists of Financial Reporting Accounts Payable Payroll Tax Financial Planning & Analysis Risk & Controls Fintech. As trusted Business Partners we support all Teams across THE ICONIC to execute the business strategy drive growth create shareholder value and minimise risk thereby enabling THE ICONIC to continue to deliver a seamless and inspiring experience to its customers.
Whats involved
The role of the Senior Business Analyst sits within our Fintech Transformation Team and is responsible for providing financial knowledge experience and support in rebuilding and strengthening our core financial systems and processes to enable efficiency growth and scalability. The role reports to our Head of Finance Transformation and will work closely with various Fintech Squads and departments to assess finance process and system impacts across the daily Operations Key Projects and Strategic Initiatives that are being implemented across the business.
Some of your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Act as the key link between Finance teams and Technology to ensure solutions meet business regulatory and operational needs.
- Lead end-to-end requirements gathering for key initiatives and finance technology enhancements.
- Responsible for the systems administration and maintenance of key financial setups in ERP such as PO Approval workflow GST Setups user access and permissions.
- Act as SME for finance systems and processes across ERP and reporting tools.
- Support the design validation and rollout of new or enhanced reporting frameworks and dashboards to enable datadriven decisions.
- Drive reporting transformation projects from concept to deployment ensuring accuracy and adoption.
- Oversee key ERP configurations and financial setups (e.g. PO approval workflows user access and permissions).
- Responsible for End to End Finance Process Mapping and Documentation in partnership with the Financial Reporting team
- Work closely with key stakeholders project working groups and delivery teams in defining requirements acceptance criteria and stakeholder expectations including providing regular progress updates
- Work with Product Owners System Engineers Analysts and the Data team to assess finance process and system impacts across various Strategic Initiatives and assist with Implementation Training and Change Management for these initiatives
- Work with the Tech squad being actively involved in sprint ceremonies: Sprint Planning Daily Stand-Ups Sprint Showcase Sprint Retro backlog refinement sessions
- Provide the necessary systems and technical training for the Finance team
- Responsible for User Acceptance Test and provide training to end users for customized functions built across Tech to improve efficiency and productivity
- Support the month-end process with ad-hoc reports for AP FR Tax team and auditors providing insights and analysis of data as required.
About you..
- 5 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst or similar role ideally at senior level within a finance or technology-driven environment.
- Extensive experience and knowledge working with ERPs and key financial systems such as Business Central (beneficial but not essential).
- Comfortable working in an ever-changing environment and agile depending on business needs.
- Have Marcros SQL skills to read the data from different sources and provide insights/analysis to the team.
- Intermediate Excel skills to build and analyse data.
- Have an understanding of how systems interact and flow in a data warehouse (systems interfaces APIs infrastructure/networking).
- Relevant Bachelor degree in business finance or a related field (desirable).
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting and internal controls.
