The responsibilities of this position include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Structural Inspection Team Leader for bridges and ancillary structures.
  • Performing condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided)
  • Performing assignments related to the design analysis rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.
  • Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids
  • Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • PE license
  • NHI Certification for Bridge and/or Ancillary Structure Inspections (NHI Courses 78 and 130087)
  • Meets qualifications to be a Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector
  • Fundamental understanding of structural engineering principles including steel and concrete design
  • Certified as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Maryland or the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hiring
  • Valid US Drivers License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Due to the nature of the work US citizenship is required

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5 years of relevant experience is preferred

Additional Information :

  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. 
  • Relocation support is not available for this position
  • This position occasionally may require some weeknight and/or weekend work as well as overnight work
