- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for Continental dishes including washing peeling chopping and portioning
- Support senior chefs in the execution of menu items following recipes and plating instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment ensuring proper use and cleanliness
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations and timely food delivery
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements
- Learn and apply culinary techniques specific to Continental cuisine
Qualifications :
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
- Food safety certification
- Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and culinary techniques
- Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation methods
- Understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
- Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Previous internship or apprenticeship in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required
