The Pre-OP and PACU departments at Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Regional Medical Center are a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. As a Pre-OP/PACU nurse with us you are expected to apply your nursing knowledge and skills in the recovery room and it doesnt stop there. Most patients never realize the part you played in getting them through one of their most vulnerable moments. Honoring your commitment to care for others is thanks enough

Responsibilities:

• Apply cultural sensitivity to all patients caregivers and teams
• Develop and implement a nursing care plan for Pre-OP and PACU patients
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure rooms are prepped with necessary equipment and supplies
• Demonstrate kindness and compassion

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18000 over five years while part-time employees can receive up to $9000.

Minimum:

• Minimum one (1) year RN experience within Critical Care (ICU Telemetry ER)
• AZ RN license or RN license from a Compact State
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart Association ACLS within 30 days of hire
• American Heart Association PALS within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

• Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring skills
• BSN
• One (1) year post anesthesia care experience
• Knowledge of surgical procedures critical care (surgical) background pediatric experience helpful
