Position Title:Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) Location: Upland Hills Health - Family Practice Clinics Role & Department: APNP in the Upland Hills Health Outpatient Family Practice Clinics Hours & Shift:Part-time to Full-time (.5 to 1.0 FTE) day shift position Monday through Friday scheduled hours Role Responsibilities: - Candidates will serve as an Advanced Practice Family Nurse Prescriber or Physicians Assistant at the designated UHH clinics
- The APNP or PA will work under the supervision of the collaborating physician and in collaboration with the clinic management team
- Will provide primary health care and specialized health services to individuals families groups and communities on an outpatient basis
- Will provide initial and ongoing assessment of patients and residents medical physical and psychosocial status to provide preventative and medical necessity measures to meet their health care needs
- Will work within the legal and ethical guidelines of the State of Wisconsin as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner or as a Physicians Assistant Candidates must be licensed in the State of Wisconsin as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber or Physicians Assistant Have the National certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or Physicians Assistant credentialing body Have a current Certification with the Drug Enforcement Administration Candidates should have ACLS PALS NRP and BLS certifications or a willingness to obtain them Prior experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not required
