The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursingis seeking to fill Phlebotomy Technician I positions to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy labeling specimens telephone inquiries and distribution of phlebotomy supplies.
Duties to include:
- Performs phlebotomy draws
- Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required
- Orders receives and distributes supplies
- Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represents assigned and related work areas
Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: Monday-Friday 0730-1600 rotating holidays
Location: Iowa City IA

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent
Special Qualifications:
- Previous public contact/customer service experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or previous phlebotomy experience
- Minimum six (6) months previous experience working in a healthcare setting
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience with Personal Protective Equipment
- Previous patient contact experience
