Rate of Pay: 21.00 - 26.69 per hour
Summary:
The Housing Officer will be responsible for managing a patch of approximately 400 properties ensuring effective tenancy management across the area. The role focuses on arrears recovery estate inspections tenancy audits and delivering high-quality housing services to residents. This is an on-site role based 45 days a week at Brentwood Town Hall.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a patch of around 400 properties ensuring all tenancy-related issues are handled efficiently.
- Conduct arrears recovery including direct contact with tenants and monitoring repayment arrangements.
- Undertake estate inspections to ensure safety cleanliness and compliance across communal areas.
- Carry out tenancy audits and ensure accurate record-keeping for all households.
- Oversee general tenancy management including ASB issues safeguarding concerns and tenancy sustainment.
- Represent the service in meetings and participate in the Teams-based interview/selection process if required.
Qualification:
- To be educated to GCSE Maths and English A-C or equivalent
Essentials:
- Substantial experience of working in a Social Housing environment
- Practical experience of income recovery and debt collection.
- Ability to compile and maintain accurate casework
- Valid full UK driving licence
- Willingness and flexibility to work outside normal hours as necessary

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Basic DBS
