Job Summary

Job title: Director of Communication & Marketing

Salary: $2256.00 biweekly/$58656.00 annually- Entry level

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (hours may vary)

Role and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for managing public communications media relations and community information on behalf of the municipality while also supporting economic development initiatives that attract retain and expand local businesses. The position works under the direction of the City Manager and requires strong communication project management research and relationship-building skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in public relations communications business public administration economic development marketing or related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in municipal government public communications economic development or related roles (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Conditions of Employment:

Must have a valid Class C Drivers License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment
Must pass a drug test drivers license check criminal history background check and social security number verification check
Must be able to work outside of regular business hours as needed
On-call availability during emergencies or critical incidents
Office environment with frequent public contact.
