Job Description
A well-established organization located in the Charleston SC region and specializing in design engineering and manufacturing is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join its operations team. The company works with a variety of materials including composites plastics and metals and serves multiple sectors such as infrastructure maritime energy and industrial manufacturing. With a strong focus on technical excellence innovation and quality standards the organization delivers reliable solutions across complex project.
Role Summary
The Quality Control Inspector will ensure compliance with project specifications by conducting inspections and tests as outlined in approved plans and drawings. This role involves identifying and reporting non-conformance facilitating root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and maintain records in accordance with ISO 9001 QMS and applicable quality control systems.
- Conduct receiving in-process and final inspections including dimensional verification and visual examination.
- Maintain and calibrate measuring and testing equipment.
- Verify personnel qualifications and ensure procedural compliance.
- Identify non-conformance and recommend corrective measures.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain documentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies.
- Perform additional duties as required within the scope of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality Control role.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements.
- Ability to interpret fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of FRP construction and materials (resins fibres metals plastics).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to complete detailed inspection and test reports.
