Seeking expressions of interest for a Matataki (Clinical) to join Ohu Hinengaro.
The interested applicants must have an appropriate qualification inmental health and/or addictions and/or social work and must also be registered with a professional body relevant to the mental health and addictions sector.
The Matataki (Clinical) will be the first point of contact for whānau in distress who have been referred to the Hinengaro service using their skills and knowledge to assess and screen whānau needs and preparing them for first wānanga. Reporting to the Matataki lead this role will work collaboratively with Health Coaches and Health Improvement Practitioners and whānau with whānau voice and whānau participation a top priority throughout their journey. The Matataki (Clinical) is responsible for booking first wānanga with suitable ue and maintaining the ue rosters ensuring all documentation is provided ahead of time.
The Matataki (Clinical) must have previous triage experience be confident in working with computers and have good time management skills. We are interested in hearing from those who understand and are passionate about working alongside our whānau within a Kaupapa Māori environment with experience working in a Kaupapa Māori organisation. The ideal candidate will be committed to achieving health equity for our whānau in Pare Hauraki and actively promoting a space which reflects the tikanga of Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki and Te Ao Māori. Proficiency in Te Reo Māori or motivation to learn is essential.
