Job Summary

St. Josephs Health Hospital is seeking a Locum Cardiovascular Surgery PA to start as soon as credentialed for an ongoing assignment!

Dates of Coverage: 2/1/26-5/1/26
Schedule (Shifts/Hours): M-F 0700-1700

Reason for Coverage: Paternity leave
Practice Setting: Hospital Cardiac surgery Operating room mostly with some ICU/floor coverage
Call Schedule: Varies 1-2 evenings a week Operating call from home
Call Ratio: 1/week
Average Number of Patients Per Day: Varies
Documentation System/EMR: Epic
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
Will APP be Working Autonomously No
Supervising Physician Present During Assignment: Dr Charles Lutz
Patient Age Demographic: Adult
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 1 month
Facility will reimburse the following costs: Hotel Flight Rental Car

Required Duties:
Chest Tube Insertions
Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit
OR 1st assist

Requirement description :
NCCPA - REQUIRED
Active NY State License - REQUIRED
BLS & ACLS - REQUIRED
Conversion rate cap of 25k - REQUIRED
Must have cardiac surgery operating experience 1st assist vein harvest etc.
Robotic experience a plus
