Our client is leading home-grown comfort wear brand founded by a second-generation entrepreneur is redefining the mens elevated basics segment through consumer insights innovative fabrics and contemporary designs. Over the past seven years the brand has offering a diverse product portfolio that includes innerwear comfort wear loungewear activewear and winter wear.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Legal & Compliance (Secretarial) to support the organization across legal advisory compliance corporate governance and secretarial functions. This role demands strong business partnering contract management skills and a deep understanding of legal frameworks governing corporate operations. The ideal candidate is highly motivated solution-driven and eager to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilties:
1. Legal Advisory & Business Support:
Provide timely and accurate legal guidance to management and internal teams
on corporate commercial and operational matters.
Ensure the companys activities and decisions comply with applicable laws
regulations and internal policies.
2. Contract Management:
Draft vet review and negotiate commercial contracts agreements and
MOUs.
Maintain oversight on contractual obligations ensuring compliance and timely
renewals.
3. Compliance Management:
Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date
knowledge of evolving laws.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act SEBI FEMA Labor Laws and other
relevant regulations.
Assist in drafting updating and implementing compliance policies and SOPs.
4. Risk & Litigation Management:
Identify legal risks recommend mitigation strategies and support preventive
compliance practices.
Liaise with external counsel for handling disputes litigation legal notices and
regulatory queries.
Support representation before legal/regulatory bodies when required.
5. Corporate Governance & Secretarial Functions:
Maintain statutory registers records and filings with regulatory authorities such
as MCA ROC and others.
Coordinate and organize Board and Committee meetings: drafting notices
agendas presentations minutes and post-meeting compliances.
Support implementation of corporate governance best practices.
6. Stakeholder Management & Internal Support:
Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams auditors and
regulatory authorities.
Conduct training/awareness sessions on compliance policy updates and legal
obligations.
Must Have
1. Qualified Company Secretary (CS) and LLB (mandatory).
2. 02 years of experience in corporate legal compliance secretarial roles.
3. Experience in Manufacturing/FMCG/retail sector preferred.
4. Strong analytical drafting and negotiation abilities with an understanding of legal and
technical domains.
5. High integrity and discretion in handling confidential matters.
6. Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
7. Good communication and stakeholder management capability.
8. Ability to balance speed with accuracy in deliverables.
9. Willingness to travel up to 10% as required for business purposes.
