Buyer Retail Procurement (Outdoor Firearms Hunting & Pet Gear)

Location: Paarl Western Cape

R30000-R35000 CTC

What Youll Do

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Procurement youll join a driven Category Management team focused on executing innovative procurement strategies across our retail footprint.

Youll be hands-on with:

Managing key retail categories including firearms ammunition hunting shooting outdoor gear and pet products
Building supplier relationships and negotiating contracts & rebates
Visiting stores and suppliers
Crunching numbers analysing trends and making data-driven buying decisions
Ensuring compliance with firearms legislation and industry regulations
Representing the brand with confidence at supplier meetings and industry events

What Were Looking For

B Degree in Procurement
2 years retail procurement or buying experience preferably within outdoor/hunting/firearms categories
Strong product knowledge in hunting shooting outdoor gear or pet categories
Bonus: Skills in Procurement & Data Analytics
Negotiation abilities that make suppliers lean in
Advanced Excel & strong MS Office skills
Someone eager to learn grow and master procurement
A real passion for the outdoors hunters and sportsmen/sportswomen welcome!
Must have own transport and be willing to travel
Able to work longer hours during peak buying periods
Ideally living in Paarl or the surrounding areas (lift clubs available)
