Department: Student Success & Engagement

Work Schedule Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs 20 hours per week

Starting Salary Range: 15.34

Position Summary:The Veteran Services Ambassadors perform the day-to-day functions associated with the operation of the Veteran and Military Student Resource Center (VMSRC) and serve as front-line staff for the addition to office duties VSAs are required to participate the JC SVA and PAVE programs as officers peer advisors or team leaders. VSAs are expected to be committed to serving and providing leadership to JCCC veteran and military-connected students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with inquiries from veteran and military-affiliated students prospective students and community members to provide a positive and successful JCCC experience.
  • Assist students with the Veteran Education and Military Tuition Assistance program applications and forms.
  • Serves as a PAVE Team Leader and/or JCSVA officer.
