You are aDirector of Content Strategy.

Location: Toronto Hybrid.

ChangeMakers has an exciting opportunity for you as a seasoned digital content professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment can lead content projects collaboratively and can offer a thoughtful and strategic understanding of the modern digital content ecosystemencompassing social media website email SEO/AI search and creator/influencer best practices.
You lead the development and execution of integrated content marketing programs designed to drive business outcomes through meaningful engagement across diverse digital platforms (both earned and owned) addressing a wide cross-section of client industries and objectives.

What Are Your Responsibilities

Content Insights and Recommendations

  • Lead the development of integrated content audits in partnership withInnovationteam members thatidentifyopportunities forgrowth and performance improvement
  • Researchdigitalaudiencebehaviour(user journeys) toidentifyrelevant audience and cultural insights thatinform strategic recommendations

    Content Strategy Development

    • Build integrated content strategiesfor clients informed by data-insights and audit findings
    • Content strategies includeplatform recommendations content themesand formatscreator opportunitiesand a go-to-market distribution planthat addressescommunications objectivesand client goals

    ContentMarketing Program Executionâ

    • Lead the creative brief process providingclarity and direction to internalcreative team membersproduction partners and creators
    • Overseethe development of content formatsthat align with a strategic planand areoptimizedfor platform-specific performance
    • Work withproject managers andcreativeteam members toensuretimelyproduction of copy photographydesignanimationvideo motioncontent formats

      Measurement & Performance Optimizationâ

      • Work with data insights team members tomonitor measureoptimize and report on content performance(reach engagementaudience sentiment business outcomes)
      • Translate performance results into insights thatoptimizefuture content and channel decisionsandidentifynew contentopportunities and partnerships

      Content Marketing Leadership

      • Manage mentorand growjunior and intermediatecontent marketingtalent and skills withinChangeMakers
      • Support Innovation team withstrategic training opportunities andnew product/service development that address client needs/gaps withinowned digital ecosystems andwithin thecurrent climate ofAI enablement

        AI-Enabled Workflowand Productization

        • In partnership with Innovation team membersleverageexisting and bespokeAI tools to synthesize insights streamline workflows and generateAI poweredcontent
        • Support Innovation team members in identifying opportunities to pilot new LLM based tools and products

          What Type of Qualities and Qualifications Should I Have

          • 7-10years of experience in social mediaorcontent strategyordigital marketingwithin an agency(PR marketing)environment
          • Atrack recordfordevelopingdigitalcontent strategies across socialmedia web emailsearchand influencer/creatorplatformsâ
          • Deep understanding of social platformscontenttrends algorithmsLLMsand content formatsacross platforms such asTikTokMetaX LinkedIn Threads YouTubeSora (OpenAI)
          • A strategicstoryteller able to translate insights trends and audiencebehavioursinto compellingactionableplatform-centric contentthat drivesaudienceengagement
          • Working understanding of SEO and SEM practices includingAI search/discovery(GEO)
          • Familiarity withmanaging creator/influencercontentpartnerships including briefs deliverables and performance tracking
          • Understanding of creativedigitalstorytelling formatsandstorytelling criteria for drivingaudience outcomes
          • Culturally curiouswith enthusiastic awareness of newdigital trendsplatform shifts and product offerings
          • Experience working with AI/LLMs to drive efficienciesforcontentinsights content performancecontent planningand/orcontentproductionâ
          • Strong written and verbal communication skills
          • Proficient in social monitoring analytics and reportingtools;familiar with performance measurement frameworks.â
