Safety Protocol Development:
Partner with design engineering on development and implementation of comprehensive LOTO procedures for wind turbine operations.
Ensure compliance with local state and federal safety regulations and industry standards.
Engineering Support:
Provide technical support for services technicians during maintenance and repair operations of wind turbine systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve system reliability and safety.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards related to wind turbine maintenance.
Recommend and close loop on engineering controls and safety measures to mitigate identified risks.
Training and Guidance:
Serve as a subject matter expert on safety protocols within the engineering team.
Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure accurate documentation of latest LOTO procedures
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends regulations and emerging technologies related to wind energy and safety management.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices and engineering solutions.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in the electrical applications of Wind Turbines.
Experience:
Significanat years of experience in electrical engineering within the energy sector with a focus on safety protocols.
Experience in developing LOTO procedures and safety management systems is preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
Certifications:
Relevant safety certifications (e.g. OSHA) preferred.
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork at wind farm sites.
