Job Summary
Were seeking a skilled with experience in linear infrastructure projects to join our growing Water Sector team in Toronto. This individual will support multiple projects in the area and support ongoing growth of the team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide design services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including open-cut trenchless and rehabilitation projects
- Produceengineering drawings engineering reports presentations and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
- Support project managers and collaboratewith the project design team to deliver projects (Environmental Assessment Reports Studies and Detailed Design) thatmeet client requirements.
- Provide services during construction includingsubmittal reviews responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
- Train and mentor junior team members leadingby example to promote a high-performance team culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a Civil Engineering program.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (.)
- A minimum of 5 years ofrelevant experience in water and wastewater design of linear infrastructure within existing rights-of-way.
- Knowledge of applicable standards and guidelines for municipal water/wastewater linear works including OPSD AWWA MECP design guidelines relevant CSA/ASTM specifications and municipal standards.
- Proficientin AutoCAD and Civil 3D sufficient to review/mark-up and mentor designers.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to plan and deliver tasks to schedule.
- Engineering support during construction and contract administration experience is considered an asset.
