Job Title: Airflow Architect

Location: Portugal

Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid

Overview / Summary:

We are looking for an Airflow Architect to urgently replace an existing team member on a large European Bank project. The main goal of the project is to migrate from Informatica PowerCenter to an on-premise Airflow and dbt setup. This role will be responsible primarily for the Airflow component while dbt knowledge remains essential for supporting the end-to-end solution.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Lead the architecture and implementation of Apache Airflow in an on-premise setup (dockerized or Kubernetes-based).
Support the migration from Informatica PowerCenter to Airflowdbt.
Ensure stable scalable ETL framework design and development.
Work closely with teams handling the dbt-focused part of the migration.
Apply strong SQL skills in support of ETL design and data processing.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams using Terraform Docker and IaC practices.
Provide technical guidance within the ETL architecture scope.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

Experience

Minimum 3 years of practical advanced experience with Apache Airflow (on-prem dockerized or Kubernetes-based).
Very strong experience building ETL frameworks at scale.
Very strong SQL skills.
Practical initial experience with dbt.
Strong technical skills with tools such as Terraform and Docker and experience with Infrastructure as Code.

Stack Tech: Apache Airflow (on-prem Docker Kubernetes) Terraform Docker Infrastructure as Code SQL dbt (initial practical experience).

Complementary Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of experience as ETL Developer or Architect.
dbt experience.
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
Experience with Oracle Cloud.
