Job Summary
Are you ready to embark on a thrilling career journey An exciting opportunity has opened up within our Marine & DP Operations (MDPO) Department for aProject Engineer. In this role you will be part ofKongsberg MaritimeGlobal Customer Supportdelivering decision making support and risk analysis for our clients. The projects you will be working on are complex Maritime operations often involving our dynamic positioning system (K-Pos).
You will be working as an advisor for external clients and on internal Kongsberg Maritime development projects. The work you do will contribute to the customers decision making and will have impact on their operability; optimization of power usage and advising them for safer- and greener operations.
We are looking for someone who is proactive self-driven and motivated a collaborative personality and with a drive to be a part of our global team supporting customers worldwide.
Your Role:
- Advisor: Work with external clients and internal development projects contributing to decision-making optimizing power usage and promoting safer greener operations.
- Simulation Analysis: Optimize client operations through detailed simulation analysis.
- Client Interaction: Maintain dialogue with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Numerical Simulations: Perform simulations of various challenging marine operations.
- Reporting: Report progress and results presenting advice to clients.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: MSc or BSc in offshore technology marine technology cybernetics structural analysis or similar fields.
- Experience: Experience in cybernetics hydrodynamics or power management is advantageous.
- Skills: Knowledge of practical marine operations and dynamic positioning is a plus. Familiarity with analysis tools like OrcaFlex Sima Simo and programming languages such as Python Matlab C.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
