Senior Mechanical Engineer

AutoStore is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our R&D team where you will develop and enhance our products within an environment that values everyones contribution and development while working alongside our engineering experts product owners and other resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a comprehensive overview of your assigned product ensuring quality structural integrity and design alignment

• Assess product performance within the AutoStores context identifying technical gaps and driving broad improvements

• Take an Active role in mechanical designs including load calculations FEA analysis mechanical integrity etc.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Partners Product Owners Project Managers and R&D teams to meet project objectives.

• Lead improvement initiatives by assembling and guiding project teams while fostering a collaborative cross-disciplinary development culture

Job Requirements:

• 10 years of practical hands-on experience in mechanical design for manufacturing assembly and mass production with a degree in mechanical engineering mechatronics or any related field.

• Proficiency in 3D CAD FEA simulations FMEA ISO GPS and PLM systems.

• Product Development Experience prototyping and designing for processes like sheet metal stamping die casting or injection molding Tolerances using DfA and DfM principles.

• The ability to Thrive in Testing and Improvement material testing troubleshooting and driving continuous improvement.
