Job Summary
The Executive Director of Student Success will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Student Success functions at Elkins Park Campus fostering student engagement supporting diverse student populations and ensuring the effective management of campus resources and facilities. This role combines relationship-building advocacy and administrative management to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. The position may require occasional night and weekend responsibilities.
The Executive Director of Student Success serves as a member of the Student Life Leadership Team and reports directly to the Associate Vice President and Dean of Student Life. As a member of the Leadership Team they are responsible for actively engaging in wide-ranging long-term and short-term decision-making and planning for the unit. As an individual leader they participate fully in all discussions and represent their area as well as the broader Student Life culture vision mission values and outcomes.
Essential Functions
- Student Success Leadership
- Lead and manage the Office of Student Success on the Elkins Park Campus ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for students.
- In collaboration with the Director of Student Engagement develop and coordinate student engagement initiatives activities and programs that enhance campus life.
- Advocate for student needs and represent the campus in collaborations across the University.
- Recruit hire train supervise and schedule student staff to ensure efficient office operations.
- Maintain professional interaction with students faculty staff and visitors.
- Manage communication channels including shared email inboxes phone lines and event calendars.
- Support reporting presentation and marketing needs in partnership with University Communications and Student Life.
- Facilities and Operations Management and Campus Services
- Oversee Student Success occupied facilities operations including maintenance coordination space utilization and safety compliance.
- Serve as primary liaison for space allocation facilities inquiries and operational needs for Enrollment Management and Student Success.
- Collaborate with finance and administration teams on budgeting procurement and resource management.
- Coordinate office logistics including technology supplies and event support.
- Dining/Vending QA at Elkins conduct 2 QA reports at the café/vending each week.
- DragonCard conduct one QA visit at the DragonCard office per week and report and issues to DBS
- Rally House merchandise at Elkins Park DCO (need to be completed before a transition)
- Disability Resources Support
- Serve as the primary Office for Disability Resources (ODR) representative on the Elkins Park Campus in partnership with the Director for Disability Resources.
- Coordinate academic accommodations testing services assistive technology and alternative format materials.
- Recruit train and supervise testing center proctors and assistive service providers.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping compliance and communication regarding disability support services.
- Represent ODR at campus events and collaborate with faculty staff and students to promote accessibility.
- Student Peer Tutoring Program Oversight
- Liaise with the McGonigal Academic Resource Center to implement best practices in tutoring services.
- Manage student tutor recruitment assignments timekeeping and training.
- Serve as primary point of contact for student concerns and coordinate with deans or program directors as needed.
- Maintain program records and monitor utilization to optimize services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree orthe equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Minimum of 7 years experience student engagement student affairs or higher education administration.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee facilities operations including maintenance coordination space utilization and safety compliance.
- Experience with budget management procurement and operational planning.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for a variety of students.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel to Drexels Main Campus as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in College Student Personnel Higher Education Administration or related field

This position is classified as Exempt grade N. Compensation for this grade ranges from$90430 - $135640 per year. Please note that the offered rate for thisposition typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade but it can vary based on thesuccessful candidates qualifications and experience department budget and an internal equity review.
