Location: Manchester NH 03102
Schedule: Full-Time Days (No Weekends)
Compensation
Hourly Rate:
Minimum: $53.15/hr ($110552 annually)
Midpoint: $69.09/hr ($143707.20 annually)
Maximum: $85.04/hr ($176883.20 annually)
Sign-On Bonus: Considered on a case-by-case basis
Job Summary
The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all surgical departments. This role ensures high-quality patient-centered care through effective management of staffing workflow budget and clinical standards. The Director promotes a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement while driving alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Quality
Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and ensure optimal outcomes.
Reduce variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency effectiveness and cost control.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory accreditation and legal standards.
Manage patient throughput and coordinate care to ensure appropriate staffing and service levels.
Develop and maintain policies procedures and nursing standards that support patient and family needs.
Service
Lead initiatives to improve patient experience and satisfaction across all surgical units.
Implement strategies to ensure consistent positive patient interactions and service delivery.
People
Foster a culture of engagement recognition and shared commitment to organizational values.
Support staff development retention and operational excellence.
Finance
Participate in annual budgeting processes and monitor department performance.
Implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Oversee operating expenses and optimize supply and equipment utilization.
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Masters Degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Surgical Services
