Job Description
A reputable healthcare system that borders Lake Ontario is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Womens Services department. These departments include a level 1 nursery an 8-bed postpartum unit and 5 labor this role you will assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care for patients within the department. You will engage in caring relationships with patients and families work collaboratively with other healthcare staff and use sound judgment while performing nursing and medical interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to laboring mothers and newborn babies.
- Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients needs.
- Document care provided and the patients progress toward desired outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge.
- Administer medications to patients as directed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN License.
- 1 years of nursing experience is required.
