What you will be doing
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |
- Monitor and analyse general ledger account balances and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare journal entries perform analyses and comparisons to subsidiary ledgers and financial reports.
- Maintain chart of account
- Review new accounts to ensure proper coding for general ledger and financial reporting
- Organize coding for new reports or cost center as required
- Responsible to oversee a Bi-weekly Payroll process
- Update and maintain data and prepare a wide range of periodic and special financial reports involving sales invoicing outstanding receivables inventory and other key management information
- Participate in monthly financial closing activities and prepare financial statements
- Participate in Plant Management Meetings and business needs
- Reconcile accounts relating to foreign and domestic intercompany transactions
- Prepare cost analyses to determine standard costs of production and prepare special and periodic reports of production data for company industry and governmental reporting.
- Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups.
- Knowledge of Hydros safety environmental and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Requires the ability to perform all duties to operate all equipment all within limitation of the standard methods and procedures and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE quality and productivity requirements.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: |
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Minimum of three years prior general ledger experience
- Strong PC skills and interpersonal communication skills.
- Critical and Theoretical thinking
- Experience in managing personnel and mentoring team members
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Works well in teams and independently
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Advanced in MS Excel and Data base management as MS Access
- Knowledge of process related standards
- Good written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
