Responsible for developing managing marketing underwriting and sustaining profitable business by providing high level technical and sales expertise with commercial insurance coverages for the clients of independent and retail insurance agents and brokerages.
About the Position:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent customer service skills and serve as a technical resource to a large and growing binding and brokerage team. Successful applicants will work with the in-house Underwriter partnered with the carriers and retail agents to request and review underwriting information for processing of placement of coverage invoicing rating & processing endorsements assisting with preparation of quotes and obtaining accurate state compliance documents.
Responsibilities:
Bind/invoice placement of coverage rate and process endorsements with invoicing audits and other documents according to established departmental procedures with accuracy efficiency and meeting compliance standards.
Handle cancellation and rescission documents.
Act as liaison between clients and the underwriter to obtain missing information status of quote/bind and/or other requests for information.
State SL compliance documentation handling.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School graduate required; College courses preferred.
Previous workexperience in the fields of insurance underwriting customer service with a successful track record of at least 5 years or more.
Positive attitude and enjoy helping others through frequent phone and email communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of adaptability to meet the needs of various situations.
Strong organization skills with a high level of detail orientation.
Proficiency in Outlook Excel and various rating portals.
Work Location:
This role can be hybrid or remote based on candidates location.
Compensation:
Disclosure required under applicable law in California Colorado Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York New Jersey and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $25-$31 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages: health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance FSA HSA and 401(k) accounts paid-time-off benefits such as vacation sick and personal days and eligible bonuses equity and commissions for some positions.
