Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing Segment is seeking a Material Planning Analyst II to join our Defense Space Systems Integration & Test team located in Huntsville AL. The Material Planning Analyst II is responsible for experience obtaining quotes and interacting with vendors andperforming in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create Purchase Requisitions from Costpoint MRP Action Messages.

  • Maintain Proper Manufacturing Lead-times and order policies in Costpoint.

  • Analyze demand signals and quickly identify any anomalies.

  • Monitor and track incoming materials.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience or Masters with less than 2years of prior relevant work lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience will be considered

  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities including experience obtaining quotes and interacting with vendors.

  • Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama AL area.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electromechanical components or manufacturing.

  • Deltek Costpoint accounting software.

  • Windchill configuration management software.

  • Interpreting and ordering from a Bills of Materials.

  • Government contractor material purchasing requirements.
