Elevator Products Corporation is looking for a Summer 2025 Mechanical Engineer Intern to work under the direction of the Sr. Mechanical Product Engineer to support our product development and process improvement initiatives.
Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components for elevator industry
Helpanalyzeandsolvecomplexproductdesignapplicationmanufacturinginstallationand serviceproblems
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software components
Support prototyping testing and documentation activities including troubleshooting and performance evaluation
Help prepare detailed technical documentation including design specifications and testing reports
Supportcompetitiveanalysisactivitiesofproductdesignsandreportfindings
Assist in Designmodifications and/orapplicationofcomponentsandsystemsusingengineeringmethodsandtechniquestomeetspecifiedtechnicalobjectiveson time
Supportdesignformanufacturabilityactivitiesandcomprehendmanufacturinglimitations
Comprehend architectural and structural building drawings
Review customer submittals (and mark ups) and discuss changes with appropriate cross-functional teams
Organizetrackand keep records of drawing and documents in archive
Requirements:
Currently Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Familiarity with 2D and 3D modeling and CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD ProE CATIA Inventor)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn new concepts and skills
