About this role

In this position you will lead the units architectural function which entails further shaping and securing the architectural direction securing that we have a good collaborative environment with our stakeholders and to secure that the team has the right competencies over time. You will help the area to align with strategiesshape the architecturedirection and supporting them in reaching their goal by making the complex simple and efficiently adapting the message to different stakeholders needs.

Architect @ If

The architect can see and understand things in a larger context. The architect understands the business strategy and the needs of our stakeholders and how thattranscends intoconcrete solutions. One of its most appreciatedabilitiesis to make thoughtful decisions weighing the pros and cons making the complex leadership positionis part of the IT Architecture unit in make sure that weset common direction and have the building blocks in place to underpin business needs and strategies indeep collaboration withcross-functionalproduct and development teams.

About the team

The team currently consists of employees and consultants two lead architects and 7 solution architects. The architects are located in Stockholm and Riga. The unit is part of the IT Architecture organization. Together we ensure that architectural decisions are deeply aligned with both business needs and technical feasibility fostering innovation and quality throughout the company.

As Head of Mobility and Classic Solutions Architecture you will

• Be part of Ifs central architecture unit and report to Head of If Architecture Hub.

• Manage and partaking in key architectural deliveries and support the lead architects in driving the direction in your unit.

• Contribute to key strategic initiatives across If as needed.

• Recruitcoach develop and supporthighly skilled and motivatedemployees within the unit.

• Ensurewe have the right relationshipsinterfacesand good collaboration with the stake holders.

• Secure that Mobility and Classic Solutions needs are discussed when affecting changes outside of the area are planned.

• Participate in relevant needed IT technical governance forums representing Mobility and Classic Solutions and relevant management teams.

• Support business and IT stakeholders inarchitecturerelated matters.

• Actively partake in the dialogue with the engineering managers in the area in order to support the overall IT delivery.

• Continuously develop yourcompetenciesand build your knowledge aboutarchitecturetechnologyand leadership.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align enterprise solutions with overall business objectives securing their economic feasibility.

• Lead with a focus on delivering technology transformations with modern cloud-based architecture ensuring we take steps in the intended direction and clean up on the way.

• Have experience working with and driving architecture including leading other architects and following-up their deliveries whilst also yourself taking on solution architecture tasks in addition to working on the bigger picture.

• Might previously have worked as a developer where you built a strong technical experience that you have upkept. Furthermore you have good knowledge in primarily Microsoft technologies and have experience of public cloud solutions like Azure AWS and Google Cloud.

• Have experience as an architect with development of distributed systems in a complex enterprise setting.

• Have previously held a manager position with personnel responsibility.

• Thrill to work in a fast-paced environment where you make use of your experience to have a strategic mindset also while supporting the operative work.

• Have the ability to relate and make informed architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and thrive when working in the intersection between business and IT development.
