The Combient AI Center exists to accomplish what individual companies find challenging on their own: build shared infrastructure reference implementations and working practices that make modern AI practical governable and useful at scale. We focus on developing streamlined common technical blocks that can be combined into something bigger rather than building the final hosting infrastructure for the system.

Crucially this is not a consulting role. We focus on the collective priorities and challenges of the network by building real systems testing them in live organizations and scaling successful pilots into sustained operating capabilities.

The Role

We are hiring two technical staff one Member of Technical Staff (MTS) and one Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to join the newly established AI Center in Stockholm.

At the AI Center we take a holistic view of change management bring together the social and technical aspects. Your work will contribute to applied AI systems at the intersection of:

• Language reasoning and multimodal models
• Data engineering MLOps and data products
• Product development
• Agentic workflows
• Enterprise constraints (governance security incentives people)

The work is hands-on collaborative and social by design. Youll build things with people from multiple companiesoften in the same room always with shared ownership of the outcome.

What Youll Work On

Depending on seniority and interest you will contribute to and/or lead work such as:

• Building reference AI systems and architectures (e.g. policy interpretation agents decision-support tools internal copilots).
• Designing and building robust scalable data ingestion and engineering pipelines that capture decisions actions and artifacts for future model training and fine-tuning.
• Developing agent-based workflows that actually survive contact with enterprise processes.
• Turning interesting demos into repeatable patterns that member companies can adopt.
• Recommending approaches to network companies on how to move forward.
• Partnering with product research and anthropological/UX roles to ensure systems reflect how organizations really work.
• Stress-testing ideas around governance safety and accountability by building.
• Work with the AI Center team to host and partake in network-exclusive AI & Tech Meetup
• About 15% of time will be focused on working with Combients learning and enablement work the mental infrastructure of making AI possible

MTS vs. SMTS How They Differ

Both roles code prototype and ship.

What Were Looking For

You dont need to tick every box but we look for candidates who have a growth mindset and can adapt to the moment. Most strong candidates will have:

• Experience with Python modern ML/AI stacks and production systems.
• Practical experience with data engineering data modeling and robust data pipelines for ML/AI use cases.
• Familiarity with LLMs RAG agents or reasoning systems (in practice not just blog posts).
• A pragmatic approach to engineeringcurious but allergic to unnecessary complexity.
• Comfort working in environments where the problem is not fully specified.
• Interest in how technology shapes (and is shaped by) organizational behavior.

You enjoy collaborating sharing and building things others can actually use.

Bonus points for

• Experience in large-scale or regulated environments
• Building internal platforms or developer-facing systems
• Strong opinions but ability to laugh it off
