Job Summary

JOB DETAILS
TheSFAHRExecutivewillwork to provideexcellentmember servicesprimarily employee relations advice butincluding valuable business focused advice and connections for role will have primary responsibility for services to CSI membershipwhileensuringa streamlined service to the full SFA membership.

This role is offered on a specified purpose contract. The closing date for applications is 31st December 2025
ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Work closely with the SFA director to develop and deliver a range of services to SFA and CSI members.
  • Operating an extremely busy telephone and e-mail helpline and one-to-one member meetings on all aspects of running a business e.g. IR/HR commercial law finance sales & marketing procurement family business etc.
  • Provide specialist industrial relations employment law and human resource support to members who contact or are referred to our Knowledge Centre
  • Provide direct advisory services to members seeking always to add value to their business
  • Keep abreast of employment law; industrial relations and human resource development
  • Develop written contributions for SFA/CSI publications & posting to social media sites as required
  • Assist with SFA/CSI membership development activities including contributing to the further development of the SFA brand to marketing and sales strategies developing marketing materials targeting prospective members and converting them into membership.
  • Contribute to membership retention activities including acknowledging subscription payments from member companies sending out new member packs making customer service calls to new members and responsibility for the collection of an outstanding subscriptions list.
  • Work as an effective team member in event management of the SFA/CSI events. (Many are evening events some requiring overnight stays throughout the country).
  • Maintenance of the SFA websites including uploading documents; updating member details on the membership system and generating website username and passwords.
  • Write for SFA/CSI publications articles for media publications contributing expert content to the SFA/CSI website and third-party websites.
  • Work as an effective member of the SFA/CSI team on all activities.

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
  • Human Resource/Industrial Relations/Employment Law related qualification preferable
  • Other relevant qualifications

Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and its application especially in small businesses
  • Industrial Relations and Human Resource Developments in Ireland and globally
  • Understanding of third-party employment
  • Competitive regulatory and cost issues facing business in Ireland

Experience
  • One to two years experience in HR related role
  • A sound working knowledge of the Industrial relations institutions and trade union negotiations an advantage
  • Interfacing with Business Executives up to CEO/owner-manager level
  • Working in a representative/consultancy capacity for business an advantage
  • Working in a team environment
