Job Summary

Oregon Episcopal School seeks an Upper School Admissions Associate & Athletics Liaison to begin duties in January 2026. As such we educate toward a larger purpose toward inclusion and respect service and justice and commitment beyond SUMMARY: The Upper School Admissions Associate & Athletics Liaison plays a key role in advancing the schools mission through strategic enrollment management. The admissions staff works to fully enroll students while maintaining class compositions that demonstrate cultural geographic economic gender religious racial and ethnic addition to supporting all aspects of Upper School admission this individual serves as the primary connection between the Admissions Office and the Athletics Department. The position ensures strong communication coordination and collaboration between athletic staff coaches and prospective families. The successful candidate will be an articulate communicator detail-oriented organizer and relational professional who understands the intersection of academics character development and athletics within an independent school setting. The position will report to the Upper School and Boarding Admissions RESPONSIBILITIESServe as a member of the Upper School Admissions team guiding prospective families through all phases of the admission processfrom inquiry to student and family interviews review applications and participate in admission committee the school at fairs open houses and events both on- and in the Greater Portland Area with potential for occasional travel around the U.S. and internationally (up to 2-5 weeks of overnight travel per year)Collaborate with faculty students and current parents to facilitate campus visits shadow days and admission portions of the admission database ensuring accurate and timely data entry communication tracking and yield initiatives and onboarding of new students and as the primary point of contact between the Office of Admissions and the Athletics with the Athletics Department and coaches to identify athletic program needs and prospective student-athletes who align with the schools mission values and academic effectively with prospective and continuing Middle School and Upper School students and their parents coaches and staffBuild and maintain relationships with feeder schools club coaches and community partners to identify potential with coaches to identify athletic program needs and prospective student-athletes who align with the schools mission values and academic expectationsCommunicate clearly with families of student-athletes about the admissions process financial aid and athletic and manage a database of athletic prospects; track communication applications and enrollment recruitment goals and monitor progress toward enrollment targets with the Upper School Admissions Associate in collaboration with the Assistant Head of School for Strategic Enrollment and the Associate Athletic on-campus and off-campus recruitment events with a focus on increasing opportunities for engagement for prospective student-athletesProvide regular updates and reports to Admissions and Athletics leadership regarding recruitment pipelines and the school at athletic and admissions events to promote academic athletic and co-curricular compliance with league and school standards in all recruitment with the Associate Athletic Director to build and maintain parent and student-athlete ambassador programs to support recruiting INDICATORSQuality and quantity of engagement with prospective students and of collaboration with internal constituents including but not limited to Athletics Academic Divisions Residential Life and Student and accuracy of data entry follow-ups and of service as reflected in feedback from families coaches and to enrollment goals.
