What you will be doing
- Champion the Ventia SHEQ culture across multiple projects
- Conduct audits inspections and observations to ensure compliance and continuous improvements
- Manage incident reporting and facilitate effective close-out of actions
- Develop and implement targeted SHEQ prevention programs
- Review and update Project Risk Assessments Registers and SWMS
- Provide SHEQ reports and insights to project teams
- Engage with clients regulators and subcontractors to maintain high standards
- Support health surveillance activities and training initiatives
- Assist Operations Managers Project Management teams and Frontline Leaders with preparations for Project Toolbox Client and other meetings
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role it is paramount that you have a people first mentality and ability to drive a positive safety culture. Experience in the Telecommunications or high-risk construction industry is highly regarded
- Certificate IV WHS/OHS (minimum)
- Construction White Card and current drivers licence
- ICAM / Taproot or equivalent (preferred)
- Lead auditor certification (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills
- Experience in coordinating the SHEQ functional support in a complex geographically disperse field operation
