Safety Advisor FIFO from Toowoomba Oil & Gas 15:13 Roster

Looking for a role that offers stability career growth and lifestyle balance Ventia is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to provide safety leadership across remote oil and gas sites in the Surat Basin. Point of hire is Toowoomba and youll travel to sites on a FIFO-style roster (15:13) enjoying two weeks off to recharge while building your career in a high-demand industry.

About the Role
As a Safety Advisor with Ventia youll play a critical role in mentoring crews and ensuring compliance with our Health and Safety Management System. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will help maintain a strong safety culture in high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: Drive compliance and continuous improvement of our Health and Safety Management System across multiple remote sites.
• Incident Investigations: Lead ICAM (or equivalent) investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify hazards and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Mentoring & Influence: Coach onsite teams to embed safety-first behaviors and maintain exceptional standards.
• Travel & Flexibility: Regular travel between sites in the Surat Basin with occasional short-notice call-outs.

What Were Looking For

• Qualifications: Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent).
• Experience: Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in high-risk industries oil and gas experience highly regarded.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of safety risk management and incident investigation.
• Leadership: Ability to influence and mentor operational teams.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in remote environments and managing changing priorities.
