About the role

  • Lead fire safety compliance across St Vincents facilities managing audits risk assessments and adherence to NSW Health guidelines.

  • Provide expert advice guidance and training to staff contractors and committees on fire prevention WHS and emergency response.

  • Oversee maintenance inspections and management of fire systems detection alarms and equipment to ensure a safe environment.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies including Fire & Rescue NSW to support emergency planning and incident response.

  • Drive continuous improvement by investigating incidents implementing corrective actions and updating procedures policies and business continuity plans.

About you

  • Strong background in fire compliance and safety across large building portfolios with practical experience managing Hot Works system isolations and key fire safety operations.

  • Solid knowledge of fire prevention systems and legislation ensuring all activities meet required standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Proven ability to create effective Fire Safety Plans evacuation procedures and emergency training that keep people safe and prepared.

  • Backed by relevant tertiary qualifications (Fire Safety Engineering or Risk) and hands-on experience managing contractors to keep fire protection systems fully compliant and functional.

  • Confident communicator with polished written skills strong MS Office capability and professional membership with recognised fire safety bodies (GIFireE or equivalent).
