The Opportunity
BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Product Manager to join the Sales Marketing and Innovation Marketing Team based in Mascot or Minchinbury NSW. BlueScope Building Components a division of BlueScope in Australia manufactures and markets steel building products solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght Fielders Ranbuild and Kiteleys.
In this newly created role you will own our national product portfolio balancing day-to-day product management with strategic innovation. Youll guide new products from concept to market shape the strategy of existing products ensure commercial viability develop commercial briefs aligned to market segmentation and targets and define our national product service offering.
You will work with technical products as the go-to expert for a nationally recognised brand helping to modernise a traditional industry through innovation emerging channels and eCommerce. Youll use market insights customer segmentation and competitor intelligence to identify trends and growth opportunities manage product profitability and collaborate across national teams to align strategy offerings and service capabilities. Your work will directly support the business growth and innovation goals across Residential Commercial & Industrial Structural & Flooring and Retail & Distribution segments.
What Will You Do
Working at the intersection of Engineering Manufacturing and Marketing youll influence growth strategy see ideas come to life and deliver practical innovation with real-world impact. This will see you:
- manage the full product lifecycle making strategic decisions on new existing or obsolescing products
- lead new product commercialisation including go-to-market strategy and commercial briefs and cross-functional collaboration
- align product offerings supply and distribution across national teams
- translate market insights and customer feedback and segmentation into actionable product decisions
- support sales and marketing with product messaging and advocacy and value communication

As an experienced B2B Product Manager in manufacturing industrial or a technical products industry you will bring:
- proven ability to manage end-to-end product lifecycles and make strategic decisions on product introduction development or obsolescence
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to evaluate commercial performance
- tenacity organisation and ability to influence multiple stakeholders across national teams and functions
- collaborative approach with credibility and confidence to work across diverse functions and states
