This role is integral in providing specialized care to patients undergoing advanced heart failure treatments mechanical circulatory support heart and heart/lung transplantation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providecomprehensive pre- and post-transplant carefor patients with advanced heart failure.
  • Assist in managingmechanical circulatory support devices(LVADs ECMO etc.) and post-transplant immunosuppression.
  • Perform patient evaluations diagnostic assessments and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with transplant surgeons and cardiologists inrounding patient management and procedural assistance.
  • Educate patients and families on transplant procedures medications and long-term care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research efforts to advance cardiac transplant outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)licensed in Maryland (or eligible for licensure).
  • Prior experience in cardiac surgery transplant critical care or cardiologystrongly preferred.
  • Expertise inpost-transplant care mechanical circulatory support and advanced heart failure managementa plus.
  • Strong clinical skills ability to work in a fast-paced environment and commitment topatient-centered care.

Salary Range: Minimum 55.81/hour - Maximum 86.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
