Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates partnering with Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care providers.

We are currently seeking Care Co-ordinator Older Persons Services to join our expanding team based in South Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the care team to ensure adequate staffing levels with the correct skill mix to meet service needs.

  • Arrange staff cover for sickness absenteeism and annual leave to maintain uninterrupted care delivery.

  • Manage new referrals when delegated ensuring timely allocation of care and support services.

  • Process and update customer schedules promptly ensuring all changes are accurately recorded.

  • Ensure sufficient staffing cover is available to deliver all care and support on time.

  • Allocate and monitor care staff assignments using systems like One Touch optimising efficiency while supporting staff worklife balance.

  • Match care staff to customers based on skills experience preferences care needs travel routes and any changes in care packages.

  • Distribute staff rotas regularly and maintain accurate electronic and written records including monitoring travel time.

  • Communicate professionally with customers and their representatives regarding care arrangements ensuring all changes are clearly recorded.

  • Work collaboratively with team leaders and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality service delivery including reporting incidents supporting new staff shadowing and maintaining confidentiality.



  • Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in office administration and strong computer skills (desirable).

  • Previous experience coordinating within a home care service or leading and managing staff.

  • Experience working with and building effective relationships with local HSE/CHO commissioners.

  • Willingness to work flexibly and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.

  • Satisfactory Garda vetting.

  • Full drivers licence and business insurance.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff clients and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent coordination and organisational skills with previous rostering experience essential.

  • Experience using the One Touch system or a similar care management/rostering system.

  • Proven experience in community care coordination.

  • A strong team-player mindset with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues effectively.
