Our client a nationally recognised infrastructure leader is delivering one of South Australias most significant transport and tunnelling programs. With multiple worksites complex interfaces and a strong alliance delivery environment we are seeking an experienced Safety Lead who can provide confident practical WHS leadership across a large operational workforce.
In this role you will work closely with senior delivery teams to embed proactive safety behaviours guide compliance requirements and drive continuous improvement across all zones of the program. This is an opportunity to influence an entire project culture while working within a collaborative high-performance alliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide trusted WHS leadership across designated precincts offering coaching guidance and hands-on support
Strengthen compliance frameworks ensuring obligations are identified controlled and communicated effectively
Partner with operational teams to improve site safety performance and embed safer ways of working
Facilitate risk assessments complex incident investigations and corrective action processes
Analyse safety performance data and generate insights to support decision-making
Build positive relationships with contractors clients and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent WHS practices
Actively promote a culture where safety is a shared responsibility not just a requirement
Requirements
Experienced WHS professional with background in civil construction tunnelling or other high-risk industries
Strong knowledge of applicable safety legislation and WHS management systems
Skilled in investigations risk assessments and safety reporting
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Solutions-focused proactive and passionate about creating safer workplaces
Qualification in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent) is essential
