Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in Saint Augustine where you will play a crucial role in enhancing students abilities to perform daily activities and thrive in an educational setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students lives by providing specialized therapy services tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and create personalized treatment plans to improve students fine motor skills hand-eye coordination and daily living activities.
- Implement therapy sessions focused on exercises for stretching strengthening and enhancing flexibility to restore joint motion and muscle strength.
- Assist students with developmental delays in achieving independence in daily tasks such as dressing toileting and feeding.
- Address sensory processing and attention issues to improve focus and social interactions in the classroom environment.
- Support students with behavioral disorders in developing effective anger-management strategies and coping mechanisms.
- Assess and recommend specialized equipment such as wheelchairs or communication aids to meet students unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Masters or Clinical Doctorate).
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to changing environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficient in documentation and report writing.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
