Are you passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care Do you have the leadership skills to inspire a team and drive continuous improvement Walsall Council is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead our Shared Lives Service.

About the Role

As Registered Manager you will:

  • Lead the Shared Lives team ensuring safe effective and high-quality service delivery in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines and sector best practice.
  • Develop and maintain robust quality assurance and performance monitoring systems.
  • Oversee recruitment induction and ongoing support for Shared Lives Carers ensuring they are equipped to provide outstanding care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues carers commissioners and other professionals to ensure the needs of individuals and carers are met.
  • Champion safeguarding equality diversity and inclusion across the service.

What Were Looking For

  • Experience in managing and leading a CQC-regulated social care service ideally within a Shared Lives setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding MCA/DOLS and the regulatory frameworks underpinning adult social care.
  • Proven ability to lead motivate and develop staff and carers.
  • Excellent communication organisational and partnership-building skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and eligibility to register with the CQC as a Registered Manager.
  • Awareness of and commitment to equality diversity inclusion and data protection.
