Youll bridge the gap between product strategy and engineering execution building a culture of delivery excellence across Nearmap.
Leading a team of Technical Product Delivery Managers youll ensure development teams have the clarity resources and support they need to get features to market quickly and efficiently. Youll also roll up your sleeves on your own projects managing backlogs balancing stakeholder needs and driving predictable high-quality outcomes.
This role suits someone whos highly intellectually capable action-oriented and pragmatic. You bring both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery coaching with the ability to drive for excellence while knowing when to be practical.
What Youll Do
Own the Roadmap
- Lead 12-month rolling roadmap planning across your portfolio balancing product priorities with engineering capacity
- Manage and prioritise product backlogs in partnership with Solution Product Managers Engineering and senior leadership
- Act as custodian of your platform areas ensuring solutions are consistent practical and forward-thinking
- Ensure no surprises on release timing enabling effective product launches
Build and Lead the Team
- Lead mentor and develop a team of Technical Product Delivery Managers with clear career frameworks and growth opportunities
- Foster a high-performing culture characterised by proactive ownership collaboration transparent communication and resilience
- Connect your team with the right stakeholders to help shape solution concepts
Drive Delivery Excellence
- Take full ownership of on-time to-scope delivery outcomes across your programmes of work
- Combine strong delivery discipline with a product mindset to achieve predictable outcomes without sacrificing agility
- Drive sprint hygiene including estimation planning grooming and velocity tracking targeting 95% sprint commitment delivery
- Identify and manage dependencies risks and resource contention with proactive mitigation strategies
Engage Stakeholders
- Serve as the single source of truth for delivery status across your areas
- Translate programme health into action-oriented updates for senior stakeholders
- Maintain clear escalation paths ensuring no critical blocker lingers more than 48 hours without a plan
Champion Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve how we work and drive those changes
- Champion standardised approaches and automation across tools like JIRA Confluence and BI dashboards
