Job Summary

Granby Public Schools invites interested candidates to apply for Substitute Tier 3 Teaching Assistant - Special Education at Kelly Lane Primary School.

The substitute tier 3 teaching assistant under the direction of a certified specialeducation staff member assistsin the implementationof specialized instruction and provides supports as specifiedin the IndividualizedEducation Programs. These include but are not limited to the following:

Assisting with academic organizational social/emotional/behavioral communicationand transitionneeds as well as daily living in accordancewith IEPs.
Providing specialised instruction and supports that may include unique skills and training in DiscreteTrialTeaching behavior plan implementation de-escalation techniques psychological and physicalmanagement health care/medical needs feeding ambulation etc.
Ongoing and frequentdata collection and tabulation as specified in the IEP
Supporting preparationof specialized learning materials as directed by appropriate special education staff
Engaging in regular consultationwith special education team members to implement goals/objectives accommodation modificationsetc.

Rate of pay is $24.11/hr. This is a temporary postiion and no benefits will be offered. Multiple openings including to cover a long-term absence through March 7th.
