A GIS Technician is an essential member of our team and we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLVS growing success!
This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Public Works department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
THE ROLE
Performs technical analytical and skilled work in the operation and maintenance of a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS). Utilizes GIS software to manipulate data; maintain databases; produce cartographic products; Ensure integrity quality and accuracy of the Utilities information and data; review data from Department staff and other departments; perform a variety of processing functions including topological modeling input of GOS data; operate printers and plotters; publish and display spatial and relational information including tables graphs maps slides and multimedia presentations; participate in data input conversion and translation.

SELECTION PROCESS
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100% requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written performance and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education experience knowledge skills and abilities.
