preconstruction estimator will collaborate with clients subcontractors and internal teams to ensure
competitive and precise pricing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cost estimates from conceptual design through final pricing.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for labor materials and equipment.
- Analyze bid proposals subcontractor quotes and market conditions to determine the most competitive and accurate pricing.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Utilize industry software and tools to create and manage estimates efficiently.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings specifications and requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with project managers and design teams to assess constructability risk and scheduling impacts.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost data.
- Communicate effectively with clientssubcontractors and internal teams
- Deep Knowledge of the industrygeneral conditionsfee calculationsand construction scheduling.
- Minimum of 6-8 years commercial construction estimating with a strong background in commercial projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Estimating Programs(ExcelWordOutlookProjectTeamsPro-EstRS Means).
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Building ConnectedOn-ScreenTakeoffBluebeama plus.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Valid drivers license.
