Role Summary
The AWS L2 Administrator will support day-to-day cloud operations incident handling deployments monitoring and infrastructure maintenance. The role requires strong hands-on experience in managing AWS resources troubleshooting production issues and collaborating with L3 teams for advanced escalations.
Responsibilities
Cloud Administration
Manage and support AWS services such as EC2 S3 EBS RDS VPC IAM Route53 CloudWatch EFS ELB.
Perform routine maintenance: server patching backup verification instance lifecycle operations.
Create & manage snapshots AMIs storage lifecycle policies.
Basic understanding & support for container workloads (ECS/EKS) and serverless (Lambda).
Incident & Operations Support
Act as L2 escalation point for alerts operational failures application connectivity resource utilization issues.
Troubleshoot OS-level network and access-related incidents.
Perform log analysis first-level RCA and escalate to L3 when required.
Manage ticket queues SLA adherence shift support and on-call rotations (if applicable).
Monitoring & Performance
Configure & tune CloudWatch metrics alarms and dashboards.
Monitor compute storage network utilization and recommend scale-up/optimizations.
Provide periodic performance insights and trend analysis.
Security & Access Control
Create and manage IAM users groups roles and policies with least privilege.
Perform access reviews key rotation MFA enablement and patch compliance.
Support vulnerability remediation and security audits.
Automation & Process
Basic scripting for automation using Bash/Shell/Python/PowerShell.
Work with DevOps/Engineering teams on CI/CD deployments & environment upgrades.
Maintain documentation SOPs runbooks and knowledge base.
